As much as I can't stand him, you have to give the bloke credit for the job he's doing with Huddersfield. The idiot Moyes could learn a thing or two from him

Always liked Colin more than most on WHO.

I don't actually like him, but I like him more than most. Not least for the humour with which he deals with the Colin nickname

Re: Colin Wanker
Actually don’t mind the fella at all and he unlike Moyes has bigged up our fans in the past. I remember the SF v Forest at Villa Park when we lost 4-0 with that c@nt Hackett sending off Tony Gale. Probably the best 45 minutes of support by our fans that I’ve ever been in, non stop Johnny Lyalls claret and blue army. I watched the video next day and Warnock was on the commentary team , all he could talk about was how great our fans were even when they asked for his views on the match all he kept saying was he couldn’t believe the support of the West Ham fans , best he’d ever seen. I’ve like him ever since.

Re: Colin Wanker
Think he has mellowed over the years .... though saw yesterday he blanked Chris Wilder (bloke with a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp) who replaced him at Boro.
Has done brilliantly at Huddersfield who looked doomed.
I am struggling to think of many managers I wouldnt take as a Moyes replacement.
Warnock would at least be positive & exude a BIT of confidence.
Unlike the dour, turgid SCOTCH bloke

It was Billy Bonds claret & blue army.

Re: Colin Wanker
I hated him when he was at Sheff Utd during the Tevez saga, but he was protecting Sheff Utd, the club he managed.

Since then, I've heard him speak fondly of West Ham which surprised me considering and actually comes accross quite well in the interviews I've seen.

He's doing a much better job than 'big' Mick McCArthy who is taking Blackpool down without a whimper.

Lol, he's just been sacked!

Re: Colin Wanker
At Football League Level I can't recall another manager who has had the consistent level of success Colin has had over the years.

He can take any number of gnarly, underperforming never do wells and make a team out of them to avoid relegation or win promotion. He's damn good at what he does.

I've never seen much evidence that he can cut it at Premiership Level - he definitely lacks something whenever he's been up there.

There's no shame in that though - He's more of a winner in his career than Moyes has been - that's for sure.

Re: Colin Wanker
He holds the record of 8 promotions as a manager
Including of course with Notts County when they beat us on the last day to stop us winning the Division 2 title

Reading through this thread, I wonder how many people can guess who out of Moyes and Warnock has a better percentage win through their managerial career?

Re: Colin Wanker
I really hope Huddersfield stay up, not least as I am friends with Ronnie Jepson, Warnock’s right-hand man.

It’s also a good away day, with some superb pubs - not that I hope to be going there for a league match next season!

Alex G

Moyes has a 42% win ratio and Warnock 40%

Moyes had spent most of his career in the top flight and Warnock about 5 deasons - maybe not even whole ones.

If his win percentage is slightly lower it is because early on in his career he took on some really hopeless causes but overall I think he is a more effective manager in getting the most out of modest resources.

Hahaha, if you type Colin Wanker into Wikipedia, Warnock comes up
